In 1994 the Street Fighter name was riding high off the back of Street Fighter II, an arcade classic. This meant it was the perfect time to release a movie adaptation and who better to play the role of Guile than Jean-Claude Van Damme at the height of his fame. Much maligned at the time it’s become somewhat of a cult classic despite being more GI Joe than Street Fighter. But at least some of the actors look like some of the video game characters.
