For the first time in the history of media, Star Wars and Marvel are getting their first official crossover in Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles. This five issue comic series from Kevin Smith and David Marquez sees the heroes of the Marvel Universe 616 see the events of A New Hope unfold on Earth after a reality shattering spell. Featuring the characters Luke Skywalker, Captain America, Wanda, Biggs Darklighter, Wedge Antilles, Hulk, Spider Man, Iron Man, Thor, Doctor Doom, Darth Vader, Tarkin, Thanos, Greedo, Ultron, Venom, Han Solo, Chewbacca, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Wolverine, Professor X, Princess Leia, R2 D2, C 3PO, Black Widow, Black Panther, the Fantastic Four, Obi Wan Kenobi, Deadpool, Daredevil, Hawkeye, Uncle Owen, Aunt Beru and more, they meet and run around and point at each other whilst we all can’t believe it. It does feel a little too late and a little break glass in case of emergency for both franchises, but hey, it’s not the first big comics crossover and it certainly won’t be the last.
