In between Blade Runner, original Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049 there exists a movie positioned snugly in the middle, set in Ridley Scott’s groundbreaking universe. 1998’s Soldier, starring Kurt Russell and directed by Paul WS Anderson, was written by Blade Runner scribe David Webb Peoples and incorporates many elements from the 1982 original directed by Ridley Scott. It’s mostly small visual cues and blink and you miss it easter eggs, but this is unmistakably supposed to take place after the origins events from 2019. None of it makes the movie better. Doesn’t make it worse, though. But it’s still all not very good. Thanks for watching our Caravan Of Garbage review!
