In 2010 two things were big. 3D films and Sam Worthington, both a result of Avatar from 2009. And whilst that franchise continues on Clash of the Titans (which incorporates both) acts as a time capsule of that era of film making. Also acting as a reboot of the 1981 Ray Harryhausen original movie it pits Perseus, the son of Liam Neeson’s Zeus, against the Gods of Olympus including Ralph Finnes Hades who is threatening to release the Kraken on the ever increasingly disgruntled mortals of Greece.
